Hello everbody, i have been reading a lot of this forum, but i wanted to know, if i can use a dj mixer with virtual dj, and what benefits it is and what type of mixer i need and if it is better then buying the hercules dj consolle.

If you're just starting out, Hercules is a very good choice since it has a mixer AND soundcard builtin. If you want to use your own standalone mixer then you'll need to get a good soundcard. Preferably your sound card should have 2 sets of stereo outputs. Once you have the correct type of soundcard, connection to the mixer is easy. Just connect the first set of stereo outputs to line in #1, and the second set to line in #2 on your mixer. Very simple. Hercules is even easier.
