Hey all,

I've been trying to mix "You Shook Me All Night Long" and I can't get it to sound right. VDJ gets the wrong bpm, and when I manually tap, it seems to work (the loops sound fine) but when I mix it it sounds off. Currently I've got it at 127.5 bpm.

My questions are: Is this the right bpm (mixmeister didn't get it right either) and if it is, why can't I mix it? Thanks in advance!

Not sure what version of the song your trying to mix..is it the Billy Squier version (i think that's his name)...old rock tune. If it is I'm not sure with the heavy guitar that would be easy to mix with anything other then effects out or quick fade. Also if it's an old song with human musicians chances are you need to practice on your pitch bending b/c the artists usually aren't consistent with speed.

Here's a database I use sometimes you can try looking there. If it's that song I'm thinking of 127 sounds high for sure. Good luck.
