Topic: BPM's and CPG's and Volume

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi,

I got a few questions.

Do you rely on the BPM's and CPG's calculated by Virtual DJ?
I find it can be inaccurate on faster tunes with a fuller sound (I mainly play house and break beat). When I see one that's not quite right I use the "manual beat tap buton" to correct it. I haven't gone as far as to setting anchors for the CPG's yet but think I should. The manual doesn't really explain setting CPG's very well, has anyone got any pointers.

Also, is there a way to normalize the volume so I don't have to rely on tweaking the incoming track volume so much.

Thanks

I rely, it usually matchs between decks.

For the normalize function: many users use external softwares.

WHat external software?
Does an MP3 have something to do with volumes in it's TAG?
Thanks

for matching the CBGs using the anchors I'll explain how I do it.

1st - load your song on deck A or B. then right click on the song and chose edit BPM.

2nd - forward your song until you get to your 1st beat (beat 1 of 32) (Highest peak available)

3rd - click on set anchor 1

4th - play your song and count your beats. get to beat 9.

5th - align the beat (highest peak available)

6th hit set anchor 2

If you find that later in your song the CBGs drift off beat try doing the same but increasing the beat size. try 4 or 8 or 16, 32 or the entire song if needed.

for 4 beats you would set the 2nd anchor on the 5th beat, 8 beats would be set on beat 9. Basically how many beats were played.

Best Regards
