Hello, my TCV records showed up today and what a nightmare I have been having for the last 3 hours. I understand that there are some issues with the new vinyl and Ive searched posts but nothing is really helping me. Ive turned off the pre amp and messed with gain and silence settings but nothing is really helping. I cant even let the record play without skips in the songs. I have a gig tonight, so if anyone can help me PLEASE do! Thanks in advance.

Please enter your serial number in your profile if you are a professional user of the software. All other editions have limited functionality with timecoded vinyl and if you were planning to do a gig with them you will need a full legal version of the software.

Using someone else's copy is a violation of EULA per-user licence that comes with VDj purchase.

Are you serious? I cant use my fathers computer who lives in the same house as me? that sounds crazy, all I wanted was a couple tips on how to calibrate the vinyl properly, would it make you feel better if I posted as my father? We use the exact same computer, we DJ at the same place, one night hes there, one night Im there. So I dont see how Im not a licenced user, I just had ONE question, just one, I start in 4 hours! any tips?

PS-I Plan to buy VDJ for my Mac when it comes out if it helps.

Do you have your sound card set up how far along are you on your set up?

Yup I have my soundcard set up at my home studio also with a set of CDJs, the CDJs are working perfectly when I auto configure it. I have the pre-amp turned off for when I go to vinyl like I read in some other posts. And so the scratching sound improved, but if I just let the song play it skips back and forth and all over. I have an hour and half till I gotta go to the gig, so suggestions are very apreciated, thanks again.

A member of family in your household may be a registered user but you're not. The EULA for VirtualDJ is per user rather than per computer which is much better in my opinion. Wouldn't it be possbile to get your dad to login so we can see you are not a cracked user? Technically this would still be against the EULA but people may show more sympathy. Using the search should get you the answer almost straight away (I've tried it).
To be honest, there are only three variables and in three hours you probably would (or at least should) have got them by now. Disable RIAA pre-amp is one, the other two are silence and gain adjustments. You could just increase one by 1/4 increments at a time, test if the result is any better and then use 1/8 adjustments if necessary. It shouldn't be a hard task, think of it like riding the pitch.

Thank you for the suggestions Andrew, I will try those suggestions. And I assure you Im not a cracked user and not looking for sympathy. I was a beta tester of Final Scratch when it first came out and used it till about 4 monthes ago when my dad put VDJ on his computer, I love the software very much and I can definatly afford it, but untill it works on Mac Ill have to keep sharing. Thanks again.
