I've got my filemanager reading the database successfully for track information, but I am of two minds when it comes to it finding the track locations.
I personally never use the database, so it's never populated. To find where my tracks currently are, I have my filemanager reading the vdj favorites folders and looking in there.
Would you prefer that behavior or have the program scan the vdj "database" file? (mp3 database.txt)
Any ideas?
My little manager is coming along nicely. I've already got it saving tracks to multiple generes, all thats left for me to do is finnish tweaking the interface, and outputting the track shourtcuts into the sorted folders.
Also, a question. What would you guys want to see in a file manager?

I would love to see filelocation and drag and drop possibilities into VDJ...
That would make a KILLER external database manager:)

drag and drop just might be possible. If vdj reacts to drag and drop from shortcuts, I think i can pull it off. What do you mean by the firstbit? (filelocation)

Not sure you need the file location (mp3database.txt)
But you might, for drag and drop.
Shortcuts are supported yes
