Hi everyone. I'm currently using Hercules Dj Console MKI. However it really doesn't work well at all as a mixer, the Mid, Bass & Trebble are way too sensitive.
For exmple if you turn the bass just a little it cut's it off almost completely. The cross fader is good for video, I've never been able to get the microphone to work, and never tried connecting my decks to it.
So I'm wanting to get a new mixer... I was looking at the Ecler NU04 Mixer, but then I saw there was a NU05 too. Is this one worth the extra £95 ? Does it work well with VDJ.
Also I have seen someone in action using a DAC3 and PCDJ. That was very impressive his mixes were loads better than mine. So do I need one of those too?
So Should I get the NU05 and a DAC3 ? Or do you have any other suggestions?
Cheers.

Nuo5 is a mixer.... Dac3 a controller...
But Nuo5 also have midi capabilities, so you can use it as a mixer AND controller...
I would definitively go for the Nuo5... if you are a club dj/resident dj...
If you are a mobile dj, and want to stuck things in a rackmount, the dac3 is cool.. But its not a mixer.

Or the Pioneer 800 mixer... ;)

So does the cross fader on the Pioneer 800 let you cross fade one video to the next? How do you set it all up? I have only ever used the Hercules DJ console that's more or less plug & play. But how would I go about assigning the fader to work with midi commands?

in midi setup inside VDj ;) Go to the midi section in the video below and see how different parts of the mixer is midi mapable ( Djm800 with Ableton Live in the video, but works the same way with VDJ )
