I'll Start:
I'm obviously using vdj, XP
on a 15" Screen Laptop,
P4 2.6ghz
480mb (ddr memory),
40gb Hard drive.
old pioneer headphones (were top of the range 8 years ago!)
Note: I bought this laptop recentely almost purely to operate vdj proffesionaly. I have encoded most of my music and always updating, and practice most days of the week,
Currentely i'm hanging back from promoting myself as I want a more advanced configuration before I go out e.g hands on equipment, I've recentely allowed myself £500 to spend on this...
2x Xp10's is the obvious answer but i'm still open to suggestions, plus I want to read some reports off you guys before investing,
i'm thinking that maybe i'm stupid and should get some cd decks, or some other format to use with my laptop and as a back-up,
on the hardware page there is an interesting sampler by evolution, any good?
that's me, Tell me what you have and what you've seen, what you want?, any advice aimed at myself always appreciated...(i'm still a baby in this world.....but very good on vdj).

Also could you tell me what quality mp3's you use?,
I do from cd: 44100, 16 bit, stereo
and to mp3 at 192kbps,
I hop this is good enough?, sounds good to me.....

Thats more than enough quality....
most gigs u face a 24bit equipment, and even "concert" speakers that are far from hi-fi... :)
I ripp all my mp3's with 192kbps
