Hi chaps :)
Have been using a high set of draws with my laptop and mouse on top..., which has been ok for what i needed.
But Now I'm going to be buying some hardware like a mixer, controllers, headphones, mic etc...., i'm going to need a profffesional desk too..., not only to look good and be practical for home but also something that i could occasionally tke to a gig in the van.
I would just get on the net and order a standard dj unit..., but the thing is that it would be far too low with a laptop.., ideally the laptop is a bit below your eye level..., not so you have to bend down to see the screen.
What i need is someting with two levels, a high level for the laptop and a larger level below for my hands on hardware.
How do you guys manage?, and at gigs?
do you have any idea what or ideally where i could get such a unit or desk?.
Thanks for your help, bag

u really need a flightcase, that u can put on any table, or any dj booth...
but if you want a spesial dj table, there are many, here are 2:
http://www.music123.com/Vestax-DJT-1400-i129823.music
http://www.music123.com/Grundorf-Portable--Adjustable-Table-i82161.music
but i would rather make/buy a flightcase, that u can open with all equipment (mixer, xp10 etc) built in, and put the laptop on a higher level (top of lightcase etc)
It would be as easy as opening your flightcase, and plug in power, and cables to amp, and u are kickin... ;)
here is a really nice flightcase for laptop dj-ing:
http://www.emissionuk.com/prod_cases.asp
http://www.ukpcdj.com/prod_cases.asp (same as above)
(yes, its a pcdj product, but the case is empty..)
here is a few other laptop flightcases to give u an idea (with laptop on a higher level) :

(last link with an animated gif giving a really nice impression of the flightcase use)
or make one, from an empty flightcase ;)

I found this guy Cliff Bell to do a great job with cases. Check out this web site:
