For the first time at a place I have been playing regularly at I noticed a high pitch squeal from my speakers. It went away when I turned down the channel fader that was fed from an ext. sound card.
I ended up using the backup laptop that was fine. I used the int. HD as the feed source to the same mixer.
No squeal now.
Could it have been the soundcard doing this. Is laptop hum this high a pitch. Did the guy make electrical changes in his building in the last three weeks during holiday vacation?
In other words, what kind of things can be attributed to creating this effect from a laptop that has never had laptop hum in the past?
