I asssume do you want to record in WAV or MP3 files.

You have the option to SPLIT in tracks with a BUTTON in the record area

as your mixing the output of the sound youl need to take the out of your mixer to the line in and choose

Record from : line in

use a splitter cable to split the outputs of the the mixer to amp , and computer

Many mixers have a booth out that you can use to go to your line in of your recording soundcard. If you don't have a booth out then you can use a y splitter as sky suggests. One line to your amp and one to your soundcard from main output.

I interpreted your post a little different. Did you mean how do you take an hour long mp3 and have it so it's multiple tracks and will be searchable on a CD?

Dude, you have GOT to be more clear if you want help. The word "split" can have several meanings.

If you want to make a mix CD, and you want each song to be a separate track, then all you have to do is :

1. Go to the record section of the browser. (this may vary depending on the skin you're using.
2. Click "config"
3. Check the box next to "Split into multiple files"
4. You can either check "Auto split at crossfade" or you can click the scissors icon when you want to make the split.

I think that's what you're asking, let us know if it's not.

I think what he needs is HOW TO USE vdj WITH AN EXTERNAL MIXER WITH 2 SEPARATES CHANELS...
well you must select to work with 5.1 on your sound card...and then pick the option on the picture shown

config 5.1
