something reasonable. say: $800
usb enabled
obviously, if i could use it with virtualdj, that would be cool too.
effects > video effects > camera

Something like this should be more than enough:
http://cgi.ebay.com/JVC-Everio-GZ-MG27-20GB-Hard-Drive-Camcorder-NEW_W0QQitemZ200095231297QQcategoryZ148487QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
remember its for tutorials (i'm assuming for online)
I would use a harddrive camcorder that way you don't have to fuss with tapes. If you want to make dvds I would say to get a 3ccd prosumer camcorder. I have a sony vx2000 & a pd150. These cameras are bad ass & great in low light. Just depends what you want to shoot.
For online tutorials the jvc will be plenty.

Sorry for my bad english, I'm using a sony with night vision, and a usb capturecard; the thing is when I tried using a canon zr200 for example, (this camera has firewire and usb), but nothing work, then got a usb capture card, and virtualdj recognice it right away. With a sony you can use the night vision feature because low light condition, and looks good, like a effect.
Hope this will help you
