The Vestax VCI-100 has been reviewed in this months issue of DJ mag and iDJ, I wont type out the full length reviews, but here are the ratings:

DJ Mag: 3.5/5
iDJ: 4/5

iDJ Mag said that the response on the Platters was very very close to Vinyl. They stopped just short of saying it's the CDJ of Midi Controllers, going on to say that the Platters are closer to the size of a Dual CD deck which limits the scratching potential, Both picked up on the "Far too small monitoring controls" (to be found on the top right of the unit). Aside from this the other issues seemed to lye in the compatibility with Traktor LE, such as the start-up speed of the track after scratching.

Both praised its Build Quality, Looks and vast amount of controls and said it was very fun to mix with.

Thanks for the info Bagpuss.

Very interested to see what's going to happen in the midi controller market when all these new units can go head to head.

(And most importantly, when's there going to be a pioneer CDJ 1000 mk4 that can do midi!) :)
