in my opinion, one of the most deciding factors between an amateur and pro (or at least mediocre) website is their images. That's how i base it...
I would definitely suggest using a basic tool like image resizer powertool (you can google that and it's free from microsoft) to make the original pictures the dimensions you want. It never looks good to have images (especially in an image gallery!) out of proportion so people look fat or skinny and the quality is all messed up from either MS paint, or a bad WYSIWYG page maker.
but otherwise, not too shabby at all!
