im very sorry to tell you this but you have been sold an ilegal version , probaly by a con man you cannot transfer a licence in this way
if it is a console disk this cannot be sold either its a personal licence
it will be nessary to buy vdj pro if you wish to use the console with vdj

I think you may have miss interprited me, i have the MK2 console, the printed Hercules disk with serial number on front & user manual. In the manual it says the disk can be transfered onto another pc as the previous owner takes it all off their system.
under License page 24/26-user manaul
Paragraph 1 Transferre of the license IS PERMITED , provided that the transferor does not retain or copy of the software and the transferee accepts to be bound by the terms & agreements of the present Agreement.
The software & console are all legit, I can provide serial numbers etc for the hardware. There must be somebody who i can talk to?
Thanks

Yes, you can contact e-service and ask for help, we cannot help you here more.

A legal contract has to be fair and should not be more beneficial to one party, or it will not stand in a court of law if challenged.
Obviously copyrighted material (software / cd's etc) does present problems, but as long as the software has been removed from the initial computer as stated, then as your terms and conditions state, it is possible to transfer the software.
For example, if it wasn't possible to do this, and you legally changed your name, who would all your software, music etc belong to?
Gary.

This company has the worst technical support ever & they are just trying to fob me off now. Is somebodyu gonig to sort my license out or have i got to seek advice? It clearly staes in your manual that the license is transferable so why will you not transfere it to me? This is a copy of the mail i have had woth your technial support.
PS have any of you tried ringing the 0207 technical support number in the manual? What a joke that is, i spent all last night doing it with no answer!!! The service is terrible that i am experiancing.

Hi,
We apologize but the licence of Virtual DJ is not transferable. So you have to use the login of the first owner for download and support

So why does it say in the manual that you can & as quoted above?
Thank you

They told me to contact virtual DJ.
Look i just want my license transferred to my details, I can email receipt to show that i purchased it, ive supplied serial number, ive stated a paragraph from YOUR manual stating that the license is transferable?
Why is it all so much hassle?
How do i get this resolved? The license is clearly transferable as stated in your manual, so if your going to pass the buck at this stage you at least need to tell me who i need to speak to & what i need to do to get my license transfered so they do not direct me back to you again?
Thank you.

i am sorry to hear of the problem , im sure it will be solved soon so dont worry:)
just a thought do you know the username of the other user?
perhaps if you emailed support that it might help.
they will reply when possible they get many requests for help which must be answered aslo.
as to the phone line the support number is provided by hurcules
so they are responsible for the quality of that.
regards
Simon

Thanks mate but thats the problem i have, the guy i brought it off has not changed the login details so its still his details, so in effect he has broken the contract by selling the software & console onto me, but not changing the account details over to me. What can i do? Can some one your end not reset it our override it so i can input my details?
Thanks

It seems apparent to me that this guy has a disk with a serial number, therefore I would say it's safe to assume it's genuine. It's obvious this guy is making the effort here and has gone through the right channels AND since he has quoted the terms of his version of his licence re transfers it seems to me that VirtualDJ is giving him a hard time! Jeez, I've seen people on here admitting they have cracked versions being treated better!
Come on VDJ, Do the right thing!

I don't think that anyone is having hard time. The previous user of that license MUST contact VDJ support and give all information.
