As a present DAC-3 id say DAC-3, but DMC-2 seems really good aswell. Can't really choose which one is the best. The DAC-3 has a custom mapper (thanks to jpboggis), which lets me customize the settings and behavior of the controller. The bundled version, i think, is a 20-day trial = fully functional for 20 days. You'll need to buy the program anyways after that time.
Virtual DJ and Numark CUE is the same program, actually.

The DMC-2 has been designed specifically for VDJ and Cue. Some of its advantages over the DAC-3 include:
There's also a custom mapper now available for the DMC-2:
http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/download.html?addon_id=3443
- Higher pitch precision - About 4x that of the DAC-3. You'll get 0.02% increments at +/-12% pitch range on the DMC-2 compared to 0.1% on the DAC-3.
- Text display - Two lines of text per deck to show song artist+title, effect/sample name and various other information.
- Rotary parameter knob for choosing and activating effects, samples, etc.
- Dedicated video and audio fading buttons.
- High quality buttons - The main ones are backlit when inactive making it easier to see them in the dark.

I have gone through 4 DAC 3's so far. They are crap!!!! They do not hold up to any usage whether light or hard. I had a DAC2 for 4 years with no problems....I called Visiosonic and they wanna charge me a $50.00 bench fee just to send this back to them. Not including shipping and handling. Then they wanna charge an astroniminal fee to fix...might as well purchase a whole new DAC3. The new warranty is only 30 days by the way......yuck!!!!!! Buy a DMC2 I just got mine and holy crap the respose time is much better than the DAC3 and it is made of quality material to be used for quality DJing....

Can't really find anything that actually is bad about my DAC3 controller - it has served me quite well, and more than well thanks to jpboggis custom mapper plugin. However, more and more people speeks in good words about the DMC2 controller. It seems to be better in many ways. Don't know if I'll buy one soon. There is always a better controller and other gadgets in this branch, and they all cost money, causing itches on the buying finger...
