Topic: SSL and Mac VDJ or NO?

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Can someone please shed some new light on this? I cannot get SSL to work on my mac as the soundcard for VDJ. Any HELP out there?

apparently, as of now, the virtual vinyl box is the only supported soundcard for timecode.

there's still a bunch of things that need to be finished with the mac version, but everyone screamed for it to be released, so they did it... now you just have to wait for them to fill in the gaps as things are finished...

Is this something that is going to happen? Is it on the agenda? I trust my MAC more than the video PC rig I built, but if you guys wait too long, Serato's video plugin will be released at the end of June and you are going to miss a window of opportunity.
Has ANYONE got the SSL box to work on a MAC?

they can't get it to work on the mac because serato hasn't released the core audio drivers for it. I'm sure u can hack it though. but they couldn't add it legally.

ur right though, there about to miss the bus. now it seems maybe they should have not bothered with the mac version. but i think it had more to do with virtual vinyl then users wanting mac. although alot of users did indeed want it. more of a business descision with numark i believe. although virtual vinyl might work great with mac....the program itself has bugs to work out (just the way u use it with timecode). but as said b4 vdj has been doing video for sometime now. but vdj is up against seratos reputation also.

one thing u always see with serato is a macbook pro....which makes me smile.

one thing i never could understand is y i wasn't able to run vdj on my macbook pro running bootcamp & using tcv (it works great with controllers though)

but anywhoo.....maybe surprising updates will be coming out soon. let the games begin.

Have you tried the MAC version with the Virtual Vinyl box and the 3.gen TCV's?
It's by far the best timecode setup I've used so far. I can get only 1ms latency and it works perfect. It is far superior to Serato in terms of tracking and sound...

its not the sound or tracking that bothers me that much. it more "how certain things work & react"

could you explain further??
as for how the software works function wise for me I'm almost forced to say perfect...
I'm more annoyed by the "little stuff" like browsing, ID3 tag, playlist support etc.
Function wise I'm more than happy....

Ah, nice touch with the video...makes it easier to understand your issues.
I would say that both are more feature upgrades than bugs though...
If you haven't already, please post it in the "Wishes and new features"forum.
I'm feeling you on the part with the backspin thing...I really didn't notice, because I don't use either Serato or VDJ in that way...But, I can see why it's imnportant to certain turntablists.
Shouldnt be to hard to implement either...

Yeah, I really wish the "spin back to beginning" issue would be solved. I hade winding back, getting to the beginning of the waveform, and with the control vinyl still spinning backwards.... the track stops. I noticed it does this in the Windows version as well.

It makes it especially hard, and inaccurate to scratch in the first beat.

Meh, I am patiently waiting for Serato support for the mac as well, any word on this?

Plus, my analyzing issue still happens, anyone else seeing this. Inability to save the analyzation information on your mac?
