Topic: I need some help with my setup.

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I have a hercules dj console usb sound card controller. And I am having a problem with the reaction time when I try to scratch. It does not keep up. I also hear stuff when I use my controller. I have a laptop with the controller. I am running VDJ 4.3.

My Laptop:
2.4 GHZ Dual-core AMD processor
2 GB of ram
100 gb hard drive.

I have tried reinstalling the Hercules drivers and VDJ. What else should I do. I know it has to be in the promance setting in VDJ, but I don't know what they should be.

Hi, what's the make and model of your soundcard? The delay you've got is probably due to the time it takes the computer to make the sound. For good scratching, you need an "asio" soundcard (or to install asio drivers for the card you've got).

As for the stuff you've been hearing, can you describe exactly what's happening?

For Virtual DJ performance, it's probably best to start with the performance slider all the way to the left and see if that helps. With a good laptop like yours though, I would have thought that you'll be able to get the highest quality once these issues are worked out.

I am using the Hercules DJ console for my sound card.

I noise I am hearing is like a popping when I move my fader and pitch & eq knobs. If you think I sould use the ASIO driver in stead that is cool. I just don't know how to set it up.

Okay, so how do I set up the ASIO stuff to work with my console?
