Have been using VDJ 3.4 and the Herc for a few weeks on Vista with no problems
Went to record a mix last night and when I hit the record button just get an error saying
"Cannot Open C:\Parth to file\mix.wav"
Any Ideas before I do a system restore

try changing the file name your saving on the recording options

Thnnks for that but I have done that already.
Will have to reinstall Herc & VDJ and then rebuild PC if that does not work
Any other ideas?

try saving it as an mp3 file
and try that system restore

I Have just restored my PC to factory settings. I must have done something with the inbuilt 7.1 sound card settings that caused this to happen. Only had PC a couple of week and all my stuff was still on external USB. At least I know the recovery system works
