Topic: mixing a vinyl with an mp3

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

i have a question about virtual dj. Is it possible to plug in a turntable and play a real vinyl (not a timecoded vinyl) and then mix it with an mp3? i realise you can transfer music from a vinyl to an mp3 using this software, but this is not entirely practical for me!

You can duplicate the vinyl output in order use it to handle VDJ (if you want to use the timecode vinyls) or to be used as a normal vinyl. Just raise the mixer fader (on a normal mixer) and lower the VDJ channel one. It's like you do with any other DJ console with vinyls and CDJs... just by moving mixer faders ;) VDJ supports dedicated outputs for left and right deck, as there are two normal audio devices...

So in a nutshell

the easy way to do it is to use an external mixer
if you want to use timecodes use a spliter from your turntables
one output goes to Ch1 on the mixer board the other goes to VDJ.
the output from VDJ goes to channel 2(so same for ch3/4). Kill Channel 1/3 while using timecode.

Most 2 channel mixers still have 4 inputs(2 per channel) toggle switch for between them.

Thanks,
