Has anyone ran across this yet? I am getting intermittent skips, noise, etc. with this system. It is a new Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop with:
1ghz ram
AMD 64 x2 dual core processor(1.7 ghz)
Windows Vista Basic
VDJ 4.3
I've disabled safemode, enabled overclocking, set the latency at 512(11ms), optimized for quality, disabled keylock, etc. but I'm still getting "noise" in the form of skips, clicks, etc.
I've also updated DirectX
I never had any hint of this type of problem with XP on any of my machines. Does anyone have anymore suggestions?

Try set latency to auto, performance to fastest n untick safemode n overclock. See if that helps:)

Ok, I have had the best luck with my settings at:
Best Quality
Latency - Auto
Safe mode and Overclock checked
This sounds the best so far, but I'm still getting very minute skips, and a very regular "popping" sound.
