Topic: maya 44 mk II pci problem error in the asio driver

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I just installed my new maya sound card. Winxp sp1 automatically did it. Before doing so I uninstalled the audgy drivers and the onboard sound drivers. I loaded VDJ and when I try to use the low latency asio mode, when I click on config timecode left I get"error in the asio driver"

What am I doing wrong?

I am glad that 10 people decided to read my post but no one felt they would offer any input.

Now I have successfully lock myself out of VDJ. I can't even get into the program. All I get whe I click on the icon is the red screen then
"Error in the ASIO sound driver"
The reason I bought the maya is because of recommendations from this forum.
My setup is :
Soyo mini atx
Athlon xp2000+
256 meg pc133
Ibm 10 gig main HD with winxp sp1 installed
Adaptec UW scsi card with Ibm LVD 36 gig HD attached
Soundcard is maya 44 mk II

try running regedit and finding the key "SoundConfig" and setting the value to 1. this should get you back into the program...
have you got the latest drivers?
most of the talk about the maya44's has been about the usb version havn't really been hearing much abou the pci one, sounds like a driver problem at the moment.
update your drivers and try again, if it doesn't help start an e-service request and see what they can come up with

I have intalled this card into a local's cafe/bar computer.
It is really a good card, pure -analog-4in 4out wdm and asio.
I tried it with Vdj but only with wdm, not asio so i can't
help you here. There was a plain to work at this cafe
but it didn't happen, then i uninstalled Vdj.
All i know is that i had to download the latest
driver from the audiotrak site, IT WAS NOT in the cd ...
Virtual dj indeed has some setup problems with some asio cards, but usually they are cards with more or less of 4 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs. Maya44 usb works fine.
Maybe use wdm setup instead until there is a fix.
(2 soundcards setup in vdj)
And go to the mixer, there is a "mix" button, uncheck it else
you will hear both decks from 1+2 output.

Hope these helps
Let me know, i'm interested to this card too.
----
PS. how you try to setup ? advanced mode or low latency asio? If it is advanced dont use any other card, and disable remote2-->timecode, to see if it works

Djzero, great tip.

Wel I tried both asio setups with no luck. Now I can't get VDJ to come up. I tried seting the sound thing to 1 in the regedit but it didn't fix it. Now I have a boat anchor till I can figure out how to just get VDJ back up with the onboard soundcard.

Before I got locked out of VDJ I did notice when pulling up the maya controller screen it says IRQ conflicy but nothing shows up under device manager. and there does not appear to be any other devices usind it's IRQ(10).

I'd say, uninstall vdj, (if possible delete the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREVirtualDJ from registry)
Uninstall maya44 drivers, if possible move the card to another
pci slot (is it mini Atx ? only 1 pci slot ?)
Reinstall again. Maybe you have more luck the second time.
You said, there an onboard sound card on the motherboard.
Check wich card is set as default in windows control panel -->sound devices. This is the card shown as "primary"
in the vdj sound card setup.
Check if maya installation is ok, (no yello question-marks in
device manager)
Try another asio application to see if it will work with the card.

UPDATE !!!!

I uninstalled the mata and the removed it from the pci slot then restarted and then shutdown and put it back in and reinstalled.

I don't have the IRQ conflict error anymore in the maya control panel but I still can't get into VDJ .

If I disable the maya and enable the onboard I get a direct x error.

If I disable the onboard and enable the maya I get an ASIO error.

In neither case will VDJ fully load up.

I completely uninstalled VDJ and had to install 2.01 then enter my serial then upgrade to 2.05 but I still just get the first screen then an error screen.

Even newer update.

I deleted the VDJfolder from the registry then reinstalled. And re-entered my number again. Now I get a protection error 48.

I am having so much fun !!!!!!!!
