Topic: Denon DN-HS5500 Set up

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi,

How do I set the configuration to use both sound outputs on the Denon DNS-HS5500? I have the Denon attached
to my PC via USB and both outputs on the Denon are attached to a mixing board. Currently I am getting both A&B channels of VDJ playing through the A channel of the Denon.

Thanks,

you may need to check the sound card settings in the VDJ config and assign accordingly. That is a guess as I don't know squat about the DN-HS5500

go to config/remote and select the 5500 icon.thats it you're done.
connect output to the mixer as normal i.e deck one to line one..deck 2 to line 2
good luck

That's what I've done and it is putting both outputs through the deck one output. Using the 5500 in it's normal mode (Non MIDI/VDJ) puts deck one to output one and deck two to output two like it is supposed to.

Thanks,

Taipanic

I had a similar thing happen tonight, but I think it was because I did not have the asio drivers from denon installed.

I got to work fine for me tonight. Make sure the denon asio drivers are installed, select asio on the sound setup and then select the 5500. You have to make sure the output is set to external mixer. It took me sometime to figure out, but I did. It worked perfect for me for 5 hours tonight.

Reinstalling the Denon ASIO drivers did the trick. I can now use both soundcards but I have been getting a lot of crashes and disconnects from the controller. I am going to create a new profile on my laptop to disable all of the extra Vista junk running in the background.
How vital are the firmware updates? I haven't done any yet as this controller is a loaner until my new one gets delivered. Anyone else having issues? Any advice?

Thanks,

Taipanic

I would def make sure you update the firmware.
