I would say, www.mtv.com (with a soft like WMRecorder to save the streamed videos ;) )

You can record mpeg1 or mpeg2 videos in real time using a (cheap) Tv card (pci or usb) with a composite or S-video in. And a software like windvr 3, its easy.
I use a pc like VCR, to keep in the hard drive programs from TV, or dvd or videotapes...

capturing the stream from mtv.com is definitely not the best quality ever, but considering that they have almost every music you can think of on their website, it's a fast and cheap way to get a few hundred gigabytes of videos to start with ;)

i have winfast usb 2.0 for my laptop
and i just record live off of mtv jams or bet (non stop rap videos)
for 3hrs straight or more using wmv or mpeg and it cuts every video after 5mins
and it works good
and now with vdj i can mix them all
