I have to add it.
After trying Serato for some minutes I understood how it works:
it works exactly how VDJ does setting "Max load" on NONE with the difference that the waveform shows as well, that allows not to overload the CPU but in the meantime user (like me) thinks the song is completly loaded into the RAM (even though it is not the truth).
Ok, I was wrong about loading time however it would be interesting to put the same feature in VDJ:
Max load->NONE = VDJ doesn't load the whole track and VDJ shows the whole waveform too.

Smoke and mirros then.. Al they are doing is caching the waveform. VDJ could do this I suppose, but atleast we know what's going on and if the waveform doesn't load we know we have an issue to deal with...
