I cant record my video mixes on vdj with error message ''video codec error'' how can i rectify this error pls?

I also have problem with freezing during recordings and avi file is too large, does anyone know how to record on .flv code?

You can use the registry tool to configure recording options, including codec selection and configuration.

I removed codec selection in the last version of registry Tool as it's now included in VirtualDJ

open vdj, goto record and there is a list of 4 options:
record audio
burn cd
broadcast
record video
just hit the record video option and then hit start. unless you want to configure it first, then hit config.

Mine doesn't have the record video option? Is this not available on macbooks?

Video recording is not an option on macs. You gotta use a third party software like Screenflow...
