the XY Pad is useful mainly for touchscreens. And it is available in the Touch default skin already.

Well, I have a few VST effects which have also a X Y pad.
This can excellently be controlled with a mousepad.
That's why I think that also this XY pad very well with a mouse pad to control are.
Why should we integrate them in the normal skin or program?
This idea now for touchpads made it I know but I like it.
I have this Extern MousePad to control a XY Pad . Thats wonderful.
Thats why I think the XY Pads in Effect GUI a wonderful Idea.

An example.
So it would look like then.

That can already be done if the plugin author chooses to do so. I don't think such a method is suited to the small plugin area though, so it's unlikely to be offered for the internal plugins.
You could always just use a skin that has an XY effect pad on it, which would then make it plugin independent (providing it's controlling the sliders you need) and makes far far more sense.

I had previously suggested that secondary 'popup' windows could/should be available as a type of addon rather than needing to be hard coded directly into the skin.
This is a prime example. If a user wants an XY pad to add to his favourite skin then one could be written and uploaded, and the user would simply "plug it in" (install it) and be able to use it via a floating window. As it is currently, the user (or someone with skin know how) would have to modify the XML in his skin.

Its not that easy groovin. There are a lot of things behind the scenes. why this cannot be done. But i think i have an idea. Will talk with Scott (for a Plugin) and will post further in the Skins forum
Lets not hijack this topic with Skins discussion. thanks

Plugins can actually define skinned interfaces to control them that can be floating to place them anywhere.

Thats also a good Idea , as an extra Popup Window in a Skin.

Just save your .PPT as .SWF
AFIAK Vdj is able to run flash files.

How about an update to the forward / reverse effect that will work on the latest OSX and VDJ8?
geposted Mon 27 Jul 15 @ 3:03 am
You can just use the native dump function instead.
geposted Mon 27 Jul 15 @ 4:03 am
For dump to work as the v7 fw/r plugin does, I'd also use the beat grid fx in conjunction, set to a simple 4,3,2,1 pattern so the beat sequence is forward whilst the sound is reversed.

Could someone please create a real Fader effect like in VDJ 7? One that when you push it fades out slowly and not so dang fast? PLEASE! It can't be that hard. Pretty please!

@tjteed1
I have seen on this forum a script for what u are asking, just do a search, just could not remember where. it works like this: u push a button and the fader comes down.
