I'm planning on reformatting my Hard Disk Drive (H.D.D.) since I'm having lots of weird problems with it lately. I'm concern about reinstalling my recently purchased AtomixMP3 v2.1 afterward because I was given a unique serial# for it.
Does anyone have done this before (reformatting your drive)? Did you have any problems with the Atomix Serial#? Did you have to contact tech support before you did it?
What should I do? Please help.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all in advance.
Johnny

What make is your hard drive is what phenryll was trying to say.
You should have kept your serial that was sent to you via e mail, if you did not keep it e mail service@atomixmp3.com from your regeistered e mail address and they will send it to you again.

Thanks guys for the quick response.
My Hard Disk is a 20GB Western Digital Caviar W200. It's the main drive, where the OS is installed (C: drive) out of 4 H.D.Ds. that I have running in my computer. It's giving me a lot of problems. I haven't formatted it yet, though. I still have my AtomixMP3 Serial# safe and sound in one of the other drives and I was just curious if I was going to have problems reinstalling it after the format take place or if I change the drive with a new one.
Any suggestions?
Thanks again.

There are some maintenance utilities from West. digital which should correct your problem. A diagnostic test + correction and specific format command. Download them.

Honestly, I have gone through so many troubleshooting with this drive that I'm so tired of it. I just don't feel like dealing with it no more.
All my problems started when I installed Windows Me on it.
I had to uninstall it and reinstall Windows 98, because, honestly, WindowsMe Sucks big time. Of course, I had to reformat the drive to perform this task and since then I think the drive started dying.
Therefore, I'll just go ahead and change it with a new WD 40GB H.D.D. I had purchased a few weeks ago an never used so I can finally put an end to this painful feeling for good.
I thank you very much for your responses and hopefully I don't have to comeback crying that I cannot use my serial#.
Regards,
Johnny

I will tell you what was told me a long time ago. After about 30 reformats I still had no problem reinstalling atomix.
Burn it to a disc along with the serial number.
The only time i had a problem was when my disc went missing ( stolen I think ) and had to get another download and serial number off the team here.
But I burned that one too, just in case.
Once you have it burned, you can reformat to your hearts content and it will always re-install just like any other program.
Hope this helps.
