a load button will be better,if a song is in a player and you want to take it out just add a song in there that's all.

I do other "tricks" sometimes...
1. I load an "invalid" link (a moved song) from a playlist...
(playlist not automatically updated when you move songs)
This "reset" the current player....
or
2. I load a very small mp3 i made to free up memory...

Clever guy lol.

I do the same thing, I have 2 very short mp3's named to appear at the top of my DB before you do any search so they're always ready at one click.

1. A blank mp3 to cancel a load or stop a file being marked as played

2. A Left, Right, Centre - Test Track...just incase.

It would be nice however to see a feature that just allowed you to stop a track loading or being marked as played, sometimes I have tracks in Playlist that I cue up while other songs are on even though I don't plan to play it next it is annoying to have to add it to the list again and additionally they can end up marked as played - I think after 30s? I've never counted.

@apopsis I like your idea... a cancel button will be great specially if u load a big track...

And a test track (By Dj Ross) If VDJ can make an own test track... or maybe a function wich allows u to make your own test-tracks... /or maybe edit a recorded file like one part for left, one for right and one for center... :)

I would like it that when you press "stop" as the file is loading it immediately unloads and leaves the deck empty!.

Or if that bings about concerns, then a quick double tap of stop could do that action..

Wouldn't that be nice? ;).

@Bugpuss, its NOT SAFE to cancel on stop.
What if i play a track before it is 100% loaded, i do it all the time and i usually press play then stop and play again to sync with the other deck.

@DjCash, you can create various test files with programs like wavelab or Cool edit
(white noise, pink noise etc.)
For stereo testing i have some "left-right" speech samples from sample cd's
Or ...just play a Beatles song...

I agree apopsis, but you didn't read my post fully..I said better would be a double click of the mouse on the stop button within some secounds of putting the song onto the deck..

No danger their..

I like your idea Bagpuss...

@apopsis: Hehe a simple trick "play a Beatles song" :p hehe...
Well actually I don't have any song from Beatles, sorry...
Is it possible to upload your voice-samples to the sample page on VDJ? and will it still be in stereo?

Bagpuss, i dont use a mouse at all... never mind..

Dj_cash, its worth to have at least one Beatles album in your music library...
I'll see for the samples, i'll let you know

PS. James Brown - I feel good, another classic with extreme stereo separations.
I think vocals are always one channel.

you can solve this problem with out useing a shortcut
here is the way
. scan ur harddisk for songs
. there will be a song named anything in ur database lets say it is ( A )
. after u scan ur hardisk for music ... just move the ( A ) song in ur harddisk to another place
( lets say it is in d:L eng L A.mp3 move it to d:L A.mp3 )
then when u want to free the song from the disk all u have to do is to search for the A song from the search db and then put it on the disk that u want to erase the song from ..
. then when u do this the disk will be free and it i will tell u instead of the song name (error )
try it
