i just wanted to say something what happened tommorow to me, and to ask you did anybody experienced something similar :)
I was working some mixes late night, i lay down in bed it was 4AM. well, my grandmother waked me up at 6AM, and i was really tired and all sleepy. Well, i was in half-dream half-reality, she brought me a cup of tea. I took that tea and hold it in my hands. I my brain was some melody that i mixed before sleep (125bpm i rememeber) and it was repeating and repeating in my brain and then when i took a tea it was very hot. and then i was thinking "this tea is very hot, it must have more than 140bpm, well, i will put down tea on the floor because i must wait till temperature (BPM) slows down to 125bpm because i want to make a harmonic mix"
BETWEEN SONG IN MY BRAIN AND CUP OF TEA :)
i put down the tea and fall asleep :)
damn i was LOL and LOL and LOL when i was wake up, i could not believe what i was thinking :)
no i don't take any drugs and i was not drinking more than 10 days :)
so did anybody experienced something similar :)))))

Actually this could be down to Hypnapomic hallucinations. these are pre/post-sleep dreams, are dream-like hallucinations that occur in the transition between being awake and being asleep. They are usually very scary/frightening, but not always. You know when people say "It was like I was asleep, but I was awake", well they are refering to Hypnagogic (pre-sleep) or Hypnapomic (post-sleep) hallucinations - it's where the phrase comes from.
However, I agree with erxon that it doesnt really make him a true DJ, i recon the post title is a bit misleading.

He was just say he was so sleepy that instead of saying "the tea is hot let it cool down" he said "must slow down the tea's BPM" I don't think any needs to see a doctor, it's just the dumb things we do. reminds me of when i put the dirty dishes in the fridge and the milk in the dishwasher.

The thread starters name means "Drunk Serb" in English, so we can gather where he's from ;), but I wouldn't say it was Serbian Humour! (or at least I hope not)
It's just one of those things that happens to all of us, but rarely do we remember, It is something associated with sleeping patterns as said previously, strange though, to share that with us.
Associating it with Serbian/Bosnian humour doesn't do the countries justice, I didn't catch a joke :).

i think it's funy what has happened to you.
But when such a things really happen 'beetwen dream and reality', you must wonder are you really too tired, or so much opsseesd with something.
I think something like that happened to all of us, my expirience 'beetwen dream and reality' was really scary...and i hope will never happen again...
Anyway i think you need some relax time, i think your brain is too opssesd with djing, ...just like sometimes when you go to sleep, all the time you hear some same song in your head...

well, it was just soooo funny to me, i had to share that with someone :)
my friend told me that he has a full version of virtual dj, and that he can give me if i don't use it in club, just in home, and it works good. heh man I hope nobody here will ever see his serial number :) it would be emediate stolen :)
so i have one question to all users who harmonic mix songs
how do you manage key for songs? i use mix meister pro 6 demo to detect key of the song, and then i enter a key in comment field of the song in virtual DJ for every song. I guess it is a big job making a key detector in virtual DJ.

Seriously, VDJ is not that expensive for what you get as far as features are concerned. Folks shouldn't have to resort to a crack version.
