Topic: the CONSTRUCTIVE thread about BCD2000........ [VDJ 4.1 RELEASED AND WORKS] - Page: 17

Dieser Teil des Themas ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten

DJCannonball there is a provvisory solution for use ASIO for BCD2000 to obtain the master out and prelisten.
This solution works in many systems....i don't know if in your work....you have to try!!

Patience is all you need for now.. native BCD2000 support will come in time.

In "Time" ???? :-) Pleaseeeeeeeee don't go there, this thread was started already more then 1 month ago (24 Aug.'06)

i got it.. i got it..

i was struggling with the asio-driver (i keep getting those messages when selecting asio: ASIO-ERROR). the solution was simple. in configuration, tab-performance.. the slider had te be absolute most left, and the latency has to be set to AUTO.

then.. suddenly the asio-driver began to work :-D even with headphones!

but still native support for bcd2000 in version 4.1 is very welcome

I have been watching comments about the BCD2000 ever since it was released... So users, should I buy one? Seems many have got it working to a satisfactory level. Do you think it is better than MK2 Hercules?

@DJcanonball

Glad you could work with your bcd now.

@Chris Davis

In My opinion bcd2000 is much better than hercules mk2, a better sound and buttons are more reliable; by now there are just a few issues to be fixed but anyway is working fine, in case you need a better support you can contact me on msn, regards.

@Chris Davis:

Hardware wise the BCD is much better then the HDJC-1&2 sliders buttons & setup is more solid unfortunately VDJ is not yet completely supporting this unit so it is not wise to use the combination live @ this moment. ( but a cure is being worked on, we were told some time ago :-) so we keep our heads up).

@ Cannonball:

I apologize for me outing my frustrations towards you, not your fault I know we are all waiting for the native support as promised.
When you adapt the settings as you described it almost works only you can’t hear any tone changes made when pre-listening in the headphone the LED’s won’t work or you need to press them twice to get an action .
And when going live there is a big chance you get the Asio error every some times.

@Pelgrims:

so i noticed.. tonechanges are not monitored in the headphones. same goes for effects :(
anyways they'll fix it in time.... (big smile) ;)

until then, i use my xp10 and external mixer @ gigs.

@Pelgrims

You shouldnt have to press the buttons twice on the controller for it to work. You probably have the BCD config set to advanced on the midi section. Try setting this to the default BDJ and your buttons should work as you press them. It works for me.

In order to verify that we didn't forget to report things to dev team, could you sum up in 2 or 3 points ONLY the things to modify for better results. Please only things linked to the BCD2000 so i hope you will be clear.

Regards

@ DJCEL: Is there any progress ? already an idea on release-time of V4.1 BCD-2000 related?

Thanks, for the efforts.

Still under development lol, dev team is working hard on it.

I know everybody is telling us the same thing for some time now but is there nobody with some inside information to inform us on the approx. Lead-time? So we could know how to act -> invest in other soft/hardware to get a working system on the road again or see if we can spare the "X" time to wait for the update.

Thanks, DJJANP

if there's someone who could know, it would be dj-in-norway. but even he cannot forecast the realease date of 4.1

we are all waiting, just a little more patience ;)

A little leak :

- Beta 4.1 is now being tested by BCD2000 users, and good feedback so far.. ;)
This time is supported inside Virtual DJ hardcoded like Hercules.

So hopefully 4.1 will rock you guys ;)

Hardcoded controls of the behringer console.. sounds great!
speaking of beta software... i'd concider myself as a valuable betatester for the devellopers-team, and would be glad to be a beta tester for future versions of virtualdj.

where can i find the application-form ? ;)

GOOD NEWS.....GOOD NEWS!!!!!! as DJ-IN-NORMAY said is possible to say that in the new betta BCD2000 will be souported nativably by VDJ you guys will love it, just need to wait for... It has been testing and do not will be relasse untill everything works OK but, good news I could tell you that DEV TEAM is doing his best...

TKS GOOD we have VIRTUAL DJ

Hehe, sorry if i dont share your overwhelming joy right now but Dev_Team said things about "native support" for BCD also for V4.0 and we all know what happend.
As you can see DJ_in Norway uses words like "hopefully" for the announced support in 4.1.

So please dont be sad if some of us (like me) are not so sure of everything Dev_Team says here will come up in a way we expect.

I agree with you that VDJ is a really good pice of Software (even if you have a BCD) and with all the bugfixes announced for 4.1 it may become even better, but:

i will be happy if 4.1 comes up and all the functions we need are working!
(mic / line-in / LED's / stable ASIO / full midi)
No matter what Dev_Team says here.

Have a nice Day
