I am trying to make a skin like the VDJ4 Scratch (full) or other vinyl scratching skins and I was wondering how you make the beam on the turntable rotate?

Its call rotate, a function in the code and it uses some clipmasking

I was looking at that skin and trying to improve it for my use and not to steal it and say it is mine. I want to make the rotating bar look a bit different than it does. I want to just elongate it and also make the actual bar a bit different to.
Also do you know if there is a way to make the turntable have A slipmat type thing on it then when you put a song on the deck it turns to the vdj vinyl? I who make it so that once the song ends the slipmate who come back on. Do you know if that is possible? I am not that great at skinning.
