OK, so here's my setup:
2 Numark Turntables
Behringer 2 Channel Mixer
Hercules MK2 Mixer
Pentium 4 Processor Desktop with Virtual DJ Pro edition
Timecoded vinyls and real vinyls
A ton of wires, splitters, connectors
I have the signal from the turntables split with Y-splitters so that it runs to both the MK2 Mixer and the Behringer. Then I have the 1/2 and 3/4 outputs from the MK2 hooked into the line inputs on the Behringer. The Behringer is my "master" mixer which sends the signal to the speakers and headphones, i use the line/phono switch to go between regular vinyls and timecodes. The sound quality is good on both and I can mix back and forth between the two. There's just one problem, since I started using the external mixer with the timecodes, VDJ can't play more than two songs before it freezes and I have to restart. It'll crash for all kinds of crazy reasons, for restarting the song on the deck that's not playing through the speakers, lifting the needle off a timecode that's not even playing, etc... Also, since I started using this set-up, VDJ won't load the songs correctly i.e. I won't get a read out of the shape of the song (loud and quiet parts). PLease help me out with this!
I want to be able to roll up to a party hook-up my MK2 with a laptop and splitters and be able to spin a set on timecodes without having to worry about the whole thing crashing and looking like a fool for not having a reliable set-up.

Check for IRQ sharing START-PROGRAMS-ACCESSORIES-SYSTEM TOOLS-SYSTEM INFORMATION. Then once you have that open click on Hardware Resources then IRQ. Do this when you have all your stuff hooked up. Let us know what is sharing or not. Also in VDJ try to set performance to fastest and set latency to auto. Try unselecting (or Selecting safe mode and overclock). Do you have the latest Feb07 Direct X, if not get it. What about the latest video drivers???
