Topic: video files pausing every 10 or so seconds

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

My videos play alright now, but seem to pause everyten or twelve seconds, then get going again.
What may be the "Most likely" cause for this.

there are no effects on or anything else running at the same time as VDJ?

what type of computer are you running on? Problem is going to probably be with your video card.

lappy dell 1.8 duo nvidea fx 7300 256 mB.

If this is the cae is there anything I CAN DO.

I'm pretty sure I had it working for a while about a month ago.
It was playing videos with sonique's and effects at same time on autorun, but now just videos , pause every 10 sec.???

Don't leave anything else running at same time.
Tried assigning cores to VDJ, that didn't help.
Happens on 3.4 and 4.2r1 right now.

Are you running XP or Vista cause I have heard that Vista helps those not so great video cards.

Well I hear some users are havin great success with Vista while myself on the other hand am havin better success with XP. I am thinkin about switchin my video card to NVIDIA as that is what Cyder is havin god success with. As far as your laptop is concerned its up to you.

That sounds more like a process eating up all the CPU. How long have you had the PC in question? And do you use the internet regularly with your PC. You might have some spyware on your system. Most spyware and adware will cause problems like what you are describing.

Tophouse which driver version are you using. For me ever since the last Direct X updates I have seen some pretty weird stuff with my videos, but not all the time. I am running 7.2 for ATI which was better than 7.3, but now there is a 7.4. I don't know if I should go to that one.

Derrick, my PC is fairly new less than one year. No other programs on it. Only been on line twice for 5 minutes to register it.

@ DiscoBrian

I always install the latest version BUT, I install the hardware driver files only, not all the added crap. You know in the ATI downloads section. The link that says "Display Driver" NOT the catalyst suite.

Hmmm, very well could be the drivers.
