Topic: scratching seems to unloop a loop!

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Many times when running my u46dj with CD timecode..

I will set a loop and scratch the first beat a little bit (so technically im scartching part of the loop as well as some material outside of the loop). This is done to scratch in a song and keep the loop going as soon as i let go.

however, many times it will unloop randomly.

anybody else experience this? know what im talking about? error currently being worked on? need a better explanation? lol

Thanks,
Kedar

So, when you scratch, you can go back out of loop but you can't go forward right? It should be this way, but not sure, I don't scratch that much.

that picture shows that i have looped an 8 count starting with the first beat.

when i scratch that first beat obviously i can't always stay in the whole loop because the loop start point is right next to it, so i'll end up scratching material inside the loop and outside of it as well.

the problem is when i do this, the loop sometimes unloops...

and then i end up not noticing it's unlooped, the song continues to play past the loop... vocals mash up from the two songs.. etc. lol

how does nobody else have a take on this?

kind of a big deal if scratching a timecode signal randomly decides to un-loop something set in vdj lol

Which timecode mode are you using? Smart?

yes..i'm using smart

i can't loop with absolute and i can't go back to the start of a song with my cd players if i use relative so meah

some insight? pretty please? with sugar on top?

lol i just wanna know if i'm the only one with this issue and so whether or not i should keep trial and error efforts into finding the wrong settings combination or something... or if its an actual thing with vdj for now
