Topic: Virtual DJ (DJ console) no BPM or times

Hi,

I have just installed the free version of VDJ which I have received with my MK2. The good news, the MK2 works!! The bad news, my console VDJ version does not show any BPM or times for the tunes, does anyone know why this is so?

Thanks in advance.

Also, cannot select any folders!! Erm, does this new version (Vista compatible) actually work? I am running XP by the way.

I have a Mk2 installed this week

The BPM counter is there and so is the timeline.

Only one of the skins shows all the bits required and you have to swap between loops/cue points and the EQ.

The timeline is just little squares and is nowhere good as in V4.2 but at least with your version you will be able to preview the tracks which you can't do in 4.2

Not too sure about Vista but there is a new driver on the Hercules website. Make sure you have that and the latest software patch.

Have you changed skin? I am sure the BPM counter is top middle of the screen but I am at work so can't say for sure. I know it's there as I always set my first tune to run at 132 bpm before I hit play.

The timeline as as say is just couloured squares that change as the tune progresses. More like a progress bar than a wav timeline.

If you can dump a screen shot on the web and post a link maybe I can help more.

I don't use the mk2, so i don't know if this is entirely appropriate.

Have you analysed your library?

Support have told me to scan my hard drive - I am pretty sure that is not the answer!

You need to use the CONFIG button (top right) then change the skin. You will then see a seperate centre console after you hit the buttons above the centre image http://www.garyhay.talktalk.net/helpdj.JPG

SORRY SCRAP THAT

I now see what you mean. You know where these should be they just dont show.

I have that issues with certain music files. Usually if they are in Shared folders. Can you rip a CD then check it out with those tracks. You might have to connect to web to download the details for the tracks first using WMP for example

Have you tried to analyse them?

I'll give that a go mate and let you know - I am thinking about upgrading to version 4 as I have used it and it is way better, however, I used a demo and I couldn't get Deck A or Deck B to work which is a problem some people seem to be having on this forum. Obviously a bit reluctant to fork out £130 for a product that might not work.

Thanks for the help though, I will give it a go sometime this weekend and let you know the outcome.

Oh, forgot to mention, other skins work ok so I might just try a few of them :-)

I too am using the demo but spend a couple of hours last night using the supplied version and I don't think that the upgrade is worth the money as you will get used to the supplied version.

I have read plenty of posts on here about the headphone issues and noone from Atomix has confirmed that V4.3 Pro will fix this issue.
