I'm planning on buying VDJ soon, and i want some external control. I'm new to DJing and i won't be doing anything public for a while, i'm not interested in timecoded vinyl, and i just want a few basics. better pysical controls for playing and controlling songs, previewing track to cue, and decent mixer.
so what do you guys think of the following setups
just a DJConsol mk2
Numark total control
and shuttlepro and external mixer with effects

the mk2 is the cheapest but it seems a like a toy to me, are you pros happy mixing with it?
the total control is nice but expensive but i like the mixer and effects control set up better, anyone used it?
finaly a shuttlepro and regular mixer with effects, a more complex set up but seems it would allow more control on mixing since its not tied to the software.

any advice or warnings with these setups?

MK2

Its a great bang for the buck and also will give you the home edition to practice and play on, plus there is a discount to upgrade to pro when u are ready.

well rightnow i just have a mac so i have to go pro to use it at all.

so even tough the mk2 lacks seems to lack decent effects and mixer controls its still good enough to use on its own for a real gig?
