Hello,
Is there anyway to load a track to the active deck without using the mouse?
Can i set a keyboard shortcut for this? If so, what is the action called?
Cheers,
Jonathan

I couldn't find it on the actions list in virtual dj, but i found that selecting the song and pressing enter works!
Don't forget to buy the software if you like it.

Create a shortcut for browser_open and select the deck and/or it will load on the inactive deck so simply you can have 2 keyboard shortcuts or midi.

question-- wouldn't you have to use your mouse to find the song anyway- choosing folder then song- why not just drag it in deck or, double click at that point?

Bri- figured out some new things to use the MIDI for... thought you'd be interested.
sound related stuff. The X-session is cool, but the knobs are so close and not many buttons too. you still using it?

I use it as my main crossfader and to load the decks and such. I use my mk2 for sound and midi control of vdj and only go out on 1/2 (hence the need for the xsession)

You can load a track from your browser entirely with the keyboard; no shortcut is needed, but it does take quite a few keystrokes.
First, use the tab key to make the desired deck active (it's number "light's up"), then use the up or down arrow to navigate to the directory where the track is located. You then use shift+tab to get the focus into the list of tracks, use the up or down arrow to highlight it, and press enter.
You can, however, create a shortcut to unload the active deck by navigating to the keyboard shortcuts module, clicking add..., then clicking the word "unload" in the list, and entering a key combination (I use ctrl+u). This will only unload the active deck, but it does come in handy ;)
IMO, the mouse is a buttload easier - hehe.
Look forward to seeing you as a licensed user soon :)
