Topic: TCV Scratching Lag???

Turntables are working fine, however when I scratch the TCV VDJ is not picking up the scratch 100%! There seems to be a slight delay,in some cases I loose some of the scratch or movement altogether. What would cause this issue?

I am using VDJ 3.4, as this is the only software that will work with my TCV's. What config's do I need to have everything work 100%?

what soundcard do you use

what spec do you have

have you tried the latest version 5.0 which has a improved sound enginer and tcv engine yet?

the needles are brand new. The sound card is the ESI Maya 44 and my specs are 512ram, 80gig HD i forget the processor speed...

Once i upgraded to ver4 of VDj and then got a ASIO sound issue with the TCV's thats why i have stuck with 3.4 cause i know the TCV's work with it.

should i just upgrade to 5 and see what happenes?

How do you have it set up, what drivers are you using for the Maya44? Have you tried aisoforall?

I do have the asio4all.

Set up i assume how is everything plugged in?

Turntables go to the Maya44 inputs, and the outputs go to my mixer.

Mixer connects to my computer via USB.

I'm not sure on the Maya, but on the U46dj there is a switch from phono to line. I assume it's on phono if there is such a switch?

I am going to throw a stick of 1 gig ram in my computer so I am running 1512 RAM and see if that works... I have a feelings it will. Everything else works fine, its just seems like its getting bogged down a bit, RAM seems to be the issue here.

This is only what I think though, I'll let you know if this solves the problem when I get my RAM later this week guys :)

Not for nothing, it would help everything in your system run better.

Ram will help, v5.2 will help and then you can start playing with the performance settings to get your best results.

RAM didn't help me any when I wanted to get better settings, but I think it might be the sucky U46DJ.
