I use this pic on both my lappy and Desktop, this is my desktop. Notice my Vista Gadgets running on an XP Machine, L2 helped me with that.

This is a shot of the plains where I live, in the middle of the Pianura Padana (north Italy).

Oh yes, they're shortcuts, so they must be placed in a way they can be reached easily. I've also mapped many shortcuts on mouse and keyboard and the Griffin PowerMate (fortunately all them are assignable).

Remind us, How do you get a screen shot of your desktop?

WINDOWS 2000/XP: To take a snapshot of the entire windows desktop on your computer, simply press the Print Scrn button on your keyboard (next to the scroll lock key). If you want to capture the active window press Alt + Print Scrn. The image is stored on the clipboard. Go to paint, select new, and paste the image onto the canvas.

MAC (OS 7.6 or later):
1) Press Command + Shift + 4. Your pointer becomes a crosshair.
2) Drag the crosshair to enclose the portion of the screen you want to snap.
3) Let go of the crosshair. When you hear a click, your Mac has taken a picture of that portion of your screen. The picture will be found on your hard drive with the file name "Picture 1," or a subsequent number if you've snapped more than one picture.
4) Double-click the picture icon to launch SimpleText to see what you've snapped, or open the file in a graphics application to perform more sophisticated editing. (Usually I-Photo)

WINDOWS VISTA: I believe you have to use there "snipping tool" here are the instructions...
1) Click on the Start button to open your Start Menu.
2) Then click on the All Programs menu option.
3) Then click on the Accessories group
4) Finally click on the the Snipping Tool icon
*If the "Snipping Tool" is not listed in your menu bar, do a search for "Snipping Tool."
5) Click the down arrow on the right side of NEW, then choose "Full-screen snip."

Hope this helps! Enjoy :-)

[TIP] Windows' desktop

I advise to switch off the wallpaper because it slows down the computer (because each time you go to the desktop, Windows has to refresh the picture)

Personnally, I use a black background (no wallpaper) for better results.

Other tips:
Do not let pictures, files or folders on desktop. Only use shortcuts to applications, files or folders.
Shortcuts are fastly read contrary to files or folders

For example, downloading mp3s (and other files) on the desktop is not the thing to do. It's better to create a new folder named "Downloads"
