when i start the vdj it plays about 10 sec then locks up i have stopped and everything in the back ground need help have a party to do in 4 wks

check that you do not have any irq conflicts

and on performance options , choose fastest and autolatency untick safe and overclock ,
please note aslo your "demo" will have expired by that time you if you like the program you will need to buy it before then :)

Go and give Traktor a chance.
You will see neither your BCD is "junk" nor is your DELL.
Both of them are fine, it's VDJ that causes you problems.
Your BCD will not be fully supportet by Atomix in the near future, regardless of what the team is telling you.
They have promised us full support 1 1/2 year ago and there are still some features wich are not working with VDJ.
They always try to point it all down to behringers drivers & hardware etc.
BUT: the drivers an the console working very well.
Thats why i can only recommend you to give an other Soft a try (Traktor might be a good choice)
