Topic: DJConsole MK2/MP3 - Vista update - Page: 6

Dieser Teil des Themas ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten

I ask for a little patience from you. I am in the computer business, and I must say it is too early to use Vista on the professional basis. It has some problems itself and the drivers/software is working on 32bit Vista, but it is far from trouble-free OS right now. I recommend you to use Windows XP for now, Vista is not bringing nothing but looks. It is a good OS, but it is just too early.

I am runing Vista on a 32 bit. They work, but with the problems that I mentioned before. Virtual DJ just put out an update that they said:"this will work on vista, no problem".
Guillemot said the same thing. It seems that the DEV didn't do their wrk right because guess what; they dont work ok. They do, with delays, and retarded response. Dont advertise all over the world as the leader in the industry, when the product can't meet the new era of OS and computers. This business its all about who has the better, badest equipment, skillz, and the software to back it up.
You can ask everyone here that dj's for a business if I'm right or wrong.
Not too much asking, just help solving the problem. Thank You

I regret buying this program and the hardware as there is zero or no support and too much confusion about compatibility with Vista - Hercules guys had about 3 different updates in a week and still it does not work. For more than $500.00 I spent on the software/hardware combo I don't even get a decent instructions/manual. Lesson learnt.

Can you ask yourself why do you need Vista right now? Is there some new supersonic format of audio that cannot be played on XP? Does it will attract more cheeks if you show off with Aero style? I mean, common, install XP and enjoy the ride. Just my 2 cents ;)

Brother, is not about that my friend, its the fact that every other software for dj's its WORKING PERFECT o vista, we bought this one, NOT WORKING. The fact is that verry soon, just like when the transition from ME to XP, there's not gonna be any more xp. They dont sell xp computers anymore, and if you uninstall vista and install xp. there is the drivers issues, trying to find drivers for your laptop, so xp work perfect. That is a lot of hustle just for 1 software. Now, the question is, can virtual dj keep up? They havent. Seriously, THINK for a minute.

I'M CURIOUS, How many of the hercules users got the system to work on vista? Without glitches, Is it few and far between.

I was also told my this card "Graphics Card: 256MB NVidia GeForce Go 7400 TurboCache" will not work in XP and sure enough it did not work in XP Pro but worked in VISTA but I could not make it work with Hercules and Now have gone back to XP pro and now working without Video till I can get some help to make it work.
By the way how can I scroll through my playlist and select using Hercules Console?

Hi , i finally decided to scrap vista and had xp installed on my new laptop and it is superb ,,no more probs ...thank god

You can use joystick and select with the buttons below, left for left deck, right one for right deck.

@djamos
That's what I am talking about, XP will work great, I use it with MK2 and it is working perfect!

You just dont get it do you?
Thats not the point, the point is that not everyone can just go and buy a winxp os cd and deal with all that drama neither pay lots of money for some one to do it, after you just spended over $1,000 on a laptop, and hercules bundle.

You have the point there, I hear ya ;)
I will try to install Vista these days and see how Mk2 is performing on Home and Professional version of VDJ and let you know.

kiero el atomixmp3 por que es ecxelente.

iv demoed the mk2 on mac , xp and vista (pro/home) it works great on all platforms for me :)

how did you got it to work perfect on vista? what did you do? can you explained here step by step. please. thank you

There you go, Simon is mixing on Vista so the problem is somewhere else... perhaps with your machine?

all laptops aren't the same kid. did you ever tough of that?
and everyone here and everyone i know its having the same problem with djc and hercules. EVERYONE>

if you or him aren't and you know how to fix it, or some tweeks, and you don't tell no one here, there is no reason for you to be in this forum, dont you agree?
common dude, for real. if i knew the way to fix it, i will said something, we all on the same boat, i have got more help on the phone from guillemot than not one time from virtual dj, i'm still waiting for an answer from the e-mail i sended almost two months ago.

here in my store, we are selling so much of pcdj, cue, and everyone else, you know how many hercules I used to sell a month, 5 or 6. you know how many in 2 months? zero, nada, niente. i been getting more complains and people switching software.
I wonder why?

"Kid"? I ask for some respect newcomer, I am 29, and on this forum even before some of the teamers. Even before VDJ is born in 2003, it was AtomixMp3 forum only. I respect you so I expect the same.
I didn't say I made it work because I am, I repeat, in the computer business all my life, and experience tells me that is too soon to use Vista. I am not crazy to use it in front of 800 people, it is simple as that. I use XP and it is working flawless. In next 6 months I will switch to Vista, depending of Microsoft and their patches and fixes because it is more than obvious that Vista needs them.
I hope that someone who is using Vista will be able to help you. But remember, with the bad attitude, the help is bad also ;)

Kid? Brother, I am 37 years old. been on the dj and pro-audio business for 15 years. Have my own company. I think that when i started doing house parties you wre still on 5th grade. i respect you. thanks for the respect. please concentrate on the fact that there is a lot of people that have the same problem, and that when a company says that their product is working flawless on vista, and is not, its bad. bad advertising. lets keep that in mind. thats my point. thank you

I have the software and can not make it work for videp mixing on XP pro however when I upgraded to Vista the video worked but the controller and souncard did not work. Now I am back to XP pro and using only to play music which I could have done on my home edition. My computer details are:

XPS M1210: Intel Core Duo Processor T7200 (2.0 GHz/667MHz FSB/4MB Cache)
LCD Panel: 12.1" Widescreen WXGA (1280 x 800) display
Memory: 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz
Graphics Card: 256MB NVidia GeForce Go 7400 TurboCache
Hard Drive: 80GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
Optical Storage: 24X CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive
Wireless Networking Cards: Dell Wireless 1490 802.11a/b/g
Operating System: Genuine Windows XP Professional (CD Included) - Upgrade eligible to Vista Business through Dell

I am so desperate to have video mixing to work but don't know what to do. I have tried support and several posts on the forum but nobody has given me any concrete steps to follow and fix the problem.
