From Hercules:

The firmware update should normally be launched automatically at the end of the installation, but there seems to be a problem there.
To proceed , launch the application ( HDJUpdater.exe) in Program Files/ Hercules/Audio/DJ Console Series/ MK2/Updater/HDJ2Updater


- Uninstall Virtual DJ AND the DJ console drivers, then proceed as follow:

1- Install the drivers first, as Administrator ( right click on the EXE, select "Run as Administrator")

2- Once the installation is complet and the computer as rebooted, proceed in the same manner for Virtual DJ

To the guys that are having problems with the way VDJ is runnin on the laptop with Vista here is a question as mine on my desktop runs perfect with Vista, are you usin a USB mouse??? If so this could be causin you problems. Another question is why all the harshness towards VDJ about Home Edition issues that came with the Hercules. Users need to remember that the Home Edition is like a GIFT which was FREE from VDJ and what you are actually purchasin is the MK2. I can tell you I have never used my home edition as I bought the software before the hardware and I can simply tell you the PRO version is the way to go. You will get a discount if u upgrade to pro from home and man there is so much more to VDJ that you can explore with the PRO edition including many many skins, transitions for video, video effects, sound effects, multiple soundcard support and much much more.
 
It's not the software that causing any issues. I used home edition on a sub standard laptop that was more than 6-7 years old with a 128 ram and the only problem was I could not beat mix the two songs together. Why would I use a substandard computer? It was great for pool parties and neighborhood parties. Now I just use it as a back. I also used Home Edition on a unit that had 1.2g w/ 256 ram all kinds of crap loaded on this thing. I have so much stuff loaded on this machine, I'm still trying to figure out what and how. I don't have a master copy of the OS.

Bottom line is that everyone should be able to install VDJ but how well it runs in primarily up to the machine running it.
 
can sombody tell me how to fix this directx adio error problem im using a hrcules dj console mk2 with vista windows
 
hi, I just bought the mk2 and i have windows vista home premium:
specifications: intel core duo processor t2450(2.0ghz,533 mhz FSB,2mb l2 cache)
-intelgarphics meda accelerator 950
-120 GB hdd
-1 gb ddr2
-802.11a/b/g WLAN
im not a computer expert and i heard the mk2 has lots of problems with vista, so plz,i bought this for christmass and i wanna install it correctly, i didnt do anything yet and i beg u people to guide me step by step to do this correctly and in the shortest time possible...

1. Download the latest drivers from www.hercules.com
2. Follow the install wizard
3. Install your DJ program
4. Setup your DJ program to use the hercules driver
 
... I get this error to, and I'm getting sick off vista...
 
Hey....i have had my vdj and hercules mk2 for a while now. I just did a reinstall and now the play/cue buttons are constantly on, when i try to update my firmware i get these messages: PSOC: failure, code: 00000009 & PSOC: failure, code: 00000007. I also get MIDI I/O ports not found. Is there anyway to stop these god forsaken errors and get my console back working? PLZ help.
 
Hey I have a Solution for the Sound-Direct X problem!

I have to soundcard's. The error only appears, when the settings in the menue of vdj don't fit to my kofiguration at the moment:

For Exampel: Wenn I don't plug in my second soundcard, but set "two soundcards" ins the config-menue of VDJ, I get an error. When I close vdj, plug the second soundcard in, and start virtual dj again, it works:)

Your download hasnt finished. Restart it and ensure it downloads 100% then it should be fine.
 
My DJ mixstation 2 is extremely slow on my new notebook which is loaded with vista home edition. Is there something that could be done about this. Please help.
