Yes, CDJ-1000 is compatible with VDJ but you can "only" use it by timecoding..it means you cannot use it like controller..it depends on you, everybody knows the quality of this CDJ but talking about Timecode...

i have been trying to read as much as I can to see if anyone has talked about my issue. I have the MEP-7000 and the DJM-5000. I had to buy a new laptop and I come to find out that the MEP or DJM does not support 64 bit windows 7. So I went and bought a used DELL with Vista 32 bit. Does anyone know if Pioneer is working on an update or a workaround for this issue. I do have Virtual DJ on my new Laptop but it does not work with the MEP. I would appriciate any input anyone would have on this. I am sorry if you may have discussed this in an earlier thread.

Hi,
I have the 900's,
not too happy with ver6.1,
the slip mode does not work,
and being unable to scratch or spin the platter backwards,
I would like to explore the option of using the software with timecode CD's,
do I need to buy a sound card?
if so or not what does the hardware/software setup need to be.

Hello,
Supremesound, id you try using our Trial version downloaded from here:
http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html
Mep-7000 works good in Mac and Windows computers now. In Windows just need to use Windows 32 bits (7 or vista or xp) to have it working.
Shakti,
About 900... What you mean go backwards as backspin? just need to check your Vinyl mode settings (VDJ Config Options) and set the slider in the way it suits you.
If you wnat to go for timecode use... you need a 4 in-4Out multichannel sound card like DJTrim 4&6 or Echo AudioFire 4.

Slip Mode will never work with VirtualDJ - this action is only internal to the controller and can be applied to tracks played by CD,SD chip, or USB drive.
As for Vinyl control - there is a knob on the unit for adjusting the touch sensitivity - that will make a difference in how the unit responds. Also, in VirtualDJ's Config -> Options tab there are the Jog sensitivity options that you will want to adjust to your control style.

Hi
I updated to 6.1.1 last night and when I connect my cdj 2000's it brings up a message saying your cdj's do not have the latest firmware..
Thing is my cdj's are up to date with the latest 3.1 update...Everything still works but just works as it did before wiithout player waveform...
Is there anything I can do to to resolve this?
Cheers steve

Hello,
Just set your Pioneer to use the Advanced Configuration, that's why you got the message, use your Pioneer in advanced mode with VirtualDJ 6.1.1
;-)

Steve,
As ACW mentioned, you need to change the Mode to Advanced.
I have updated the posting about the firmware support with this information. Please refer here with any comments or questions about the new firmware support. - http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/131718/Hardware_Technical_Support/CDJ-2000_Firmware_3_1__(also_CDJ-900)_-_HID_Advance_support.html
Thanks.

Just one thing I noticed, its not a gripe.....It seems that the scroll button now has a bit of lag when flicking thru tunes....
Cheers steve
edit...Now testing it,the lag on the scroll button is really poor...Any guidance on this>?

If you are talking about the track knob and the refresh to the CDJ screen - then sure the faster you go then we don't send as many refreshes to the CDJ to minimize performance issues. Why send 20,30,40 tracks of information if you are scrolling through like a demon ?

Hi guys.
I would like Pioneer or Atomix to let me know their best answer (or best guess) to the answer below.
- I have 2 x CDJ900's
- I have a Macbook Pro 13 with only 2 USB slots.
- Both of these slots are taken up by the CDJ900's
- I would like to add a further USB device (a midi control pad) to my computer by adding an extra port
Should I...
a) Leave the CDJ's plugged directly in to the Macbooks USB ports, and purchase an Expess Card USB adaptor
b) purchase an unpowered USB hub. Leave one CDJ plugged cirectly into the Macbook, plug the second one into the hub.
c) purchase a POWERED USB hub. Leave one CDJ plugged cirectly into the Macbook, plug the second one into the hub.
I would assume (c) would be a bad option; with a powered usb hub, that's one more thing that can blow, or another cord to come out.
(my midi pad has it's own power source).
Please advise your suggestions if you're able. Cheers!

I'm off to buy one of these right away...

I hope there is no latency issues; I don't imagine there would be.
Cheers.

Hi Everyone,
I recently downloaded the VDJ trial to work with my CDJ-400 and DJM-400
It was working really well, then I decided to download the full version.
And now I can't get the CDJs to work, yet the mixer is working fine.
I have done all the steps and turned them on to PC mode, but I am unable to control off the CDJs.
Please Help!
Thanks.

before i go on - i like to say that i searched up and down for an answer before asking this -
i am currently trying out the trial version, borrowed my friends serato soundcard and using my pioneer cmx 3000 with the serato timecoded cds.
everything seems to work very well except these two minor things .......
#1 - on the jog wheel on the decks i cant seem to get the right bpm number to show up - on the laptop the bpm is right for the song but on the decks it shows up different - really different ....is there a way i can correct this ???
also - sometimes when i play a song - the song sometimes makes a "squibble noise" (i dont know how else i can describe it) sometimes when i pitch the song up/ down from my deck - again - any suggestion for why this happening .??
......looking forward to any answers - so i can make my final decision on this software
thanx in advance
