Delete the DDJ-S1 files from the Documents\\\\VirtualDJ\\\\Devices and Documents\\\\VirtualDJ\\\\Mappers folders - you do not need to download any other mappings.
After you delete files and start VirtualDJ - the unit should be recognized.

I have a problem when connecting my cdj-350 with vdj. I managed to set the outputs as 2 cards one is the one cdj and the other is the other one cdj and i can start djing as normal. after 2-3 minutes the music stops playing from one of the cdjs , you cannot hear the music but you can see on the cdj and vdj that the track is still playing. In order to start it playing again you need to go to settings and press apply. but after some time times it does it again. please help

Please register your Pro serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest v7.0.5 version from http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
Also, make sure that you also have the latest firmware loaded on each CDJ-350 and the latest drivers installed on your computer - These can be downloaded from http://www.pioneerdj.com

Need some help tweaking my CDJ-350 setup OSX Snow Leopard.
Ok, here is my setup:
MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.7
2 x CDJ-350's with latest firmware (updated 2 weeks ago) connected via USB to MacBook Pro
Both decks connected to DJM-350 via 1/8 inch cables for control and RCA left/right cables to CD inputs on mixer
All the info I see online is for Windows users and people are saying to select "Input=None", Output=External Mixer and Soundcard=ASIO. I don't see ASIO in my soundcard as I'm on a mac!!! What I see are the following: Mono Seperated / 2 Cards / 4 Out Card.
If I select External Mixer as Output, I have to select one of the 3 options listed above (mono, 2 cards, 4 out). The only way to get the decks routing to the right channels is to select Advanced Output Config; then I add Deck 1 "Pioneer CDJ" as Output 1&2 and Deck 2 "Pioneer CDJ" Output 3&4. Please note that I installed the CDJ aggregator which gives me the option to select "Pioneer CDJ" as opposed to Pioneer CDJ-350. Installing the aggregator fixed my main problem of only hearing each deck in one ear. What I would like to know is the official, "proper" way of installing and configuring these decks with VDJ on OSX platform. I'm very surprised at how hard it's been to find this info...pretty much impossible. I saw a guy on YouTube explain how to connect his 2 CDJ-400's but once again it was on a WINDOWS platform.
I'm also surprised that the mixer does not connect to computer via usb so as to use the mixer functionality in VDJ. If anybody can help please do, or email me at: djkctech@gmail.com
Thanks in advance !!!! I've spent a ton of cash on all this hardware and want it working perfectly. Oh yeah, one ore thing, how do I get my decks to scratch like records as opposed to just slowing down/speeding up the tunes?
Cheers

Hello,
I'm already 2 years dj and I want to start playing with virtual dj (with sony vaio) combining with the pioneer 350 series.
Now I want to test it out with the virtual dj home before buying the program.
But I have no idea how to connect the laptop to the pioneer cdm 350 and 2x cdj350, can anybody help me? Which things do I need, which cables, where do I have to put what, ...
I can also say that i have only 2 usb ports on my laptop.
Thanks!

You could use your CDJ350s as USB controllers for VDJ, and also as sound cards, so that the audio will come from the VAIO into each CDJ then into the mixer via the RCA cables.
Details on how to put the CDJ into USB MIDI mode should be in the manual. It should also cover the requirements for using them as controllers.
It's also mentioned in a post above yours.....

So you only have to connect the cdj's with the laptop with usb cables? Not the cdm 350?

i been trying to continue the job on the mapping of the DDJ-T1 , i already have the device file from max mora... but still have the issue with the jogs... the outter ring of the jog instead of doing a pitch bend +0- when using the vinyl mode moves the track faster.... and on the other side is imposible to make a decent backspin in vinyl mode... any updates about it ? a possible solution ?
Thank's

Hi Guys,
Need some help here
I have the unibody macbook pro 15" - LION - Virtual Dj pro latest version - and cdj2000 updated to latest firmware.
Have only 1 unsolved problem-
when playing a song on deck A - I load a song in Deck B- I loop the song in deck B after setting the bpm to match
The loop does not stay in sync with the deck A.
The folks at VDJ say that I need to do some mapping-
Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks

It might help if you tell us what songs you're using!
I don't know how experienced you are as a DJ, but not all music has a steady beat.
VDJ (and most other DJ software) assumes that music only has one tempo which never varies.
Unfortunately that's far from the case, especially with older music, or live music where no drum machine or click track was used.
BPMs do vary, so it could just be that the BPM on one or both if your tunes is not constant.
If that's the case, then the beats will not match - even when the software gives the same BPM reading.
Ergo, do not rely on the software to mix for you. Learn to use your ears and listen for tempo changes, and adjust the pitch manually as you go (on the fly).
Alternatively, use software such as Ableton Live to 'warp' the music and 'straighten out' the tempo so that it's constant.
However, this can potentially take away the 'feeling' or swing from the music.

Hi Groovindj,
Thanx for the reply.- Been doing a long time.
Its certainly something with the vdj on cdj2000
Coz if I use with the xponent or hercules - the same songs have no problem
Its only when I use the cdj2000 - I tried with 20 different songs - english and others - the beats just don't stay in sync.
Checked with VDJ folks - they say to check with the forum on hardware and technicals and on the mapping.
Any ideas - as to what is wrong.
Thanx

Hi Groovindj,
I also tried the software- standalone- same songs - no problems-
every time it loops - it skips a part of a second- and after every 10 loops- it matches back- and repeats the process.

OK, when you say that you "loop the song in deck B" how exactly are you doing that?
Are you pressing a physical hardware button on the CDJ-2000 or clicking an on-screen button in the VDJ software?
If you think it's due to mapping, that would imply that you're pressing something on the CDJ-2000, so what you need to do is look at the mapping code in the VDJ config and see exactly what the 'string' is that's assigned to that CDJ button.
Make a note of it, then connect some other controller (that works fine) and look at the exact same line of the mapping code, to see if it's different in some way.
