Hello!
I just get my virtual dj the last weekend, and have some problems which the user guide can't solve.
1. Is it possible to enable Automix over 2 decks, so that deck A plays a song, comes to its end and then automatically switch to deck B?
Because sometimes I maybe want to PFL wht comes next...
And is it also possible that not only the crossfading is automatic, but also automatic beat-sync and volume sync?
2. Can I also PFL and Beat-Sync the Loop/Samples?
3. How can I add other effects, such as scratch etc.?

it used to do it that way sometime back, much prefer the current set up, frees up a deck to do whatever you need to do with it, and the answer is to the next question, there is no chance unfortunately of the old system being reimplemented in the foreseeable future, if ever.

Yes i was wondering about this as well, i have been using Virtual DJ for years and i always used the Automix as i thought i was in control with the mixing but the last year or more i have just been using the Smart Automix but tonight i tried to use the Automix again and notice it didn’t work.
What was the last software version that had the Automix enabled?

Why not just simply load the song you want in the free deck to listen to it and arrange the playlist to your liking?

I personally think it's a big plus to have an available deck when using automix.

Exactly DJ Koz;)

when we had 2 deck automix, the number of times id forget to put the 2nd fader up on the mixer... lol
or id set it, and someone would pull down all the unused faders. some people have OCD !!!
Please keep the 1 deck automix.

Because no two DJs are the same, we think that every DJ should have a custom-made, tailored software application. So goes the sales pitch of VDJ. My question is what about the DJ's who want the 2 deck automix? Why is VDJ ignoring this request. DJ’s should be give the choice to use one or two decks for their automix. To-day we can use any controller that is in the market, but can’t use VDJ’s 2 turntables for automix, what a shame. As for me I’m stilling using the version 5 with auto mix for my work, and I will continue to use it in future. Forget the 6 and also the 7 if it does not serve your purpose.

Having been looking at the midi/skin commands for a while allow me to point out a NEW one in Version 6.0.
"automix_dualdeck"
You want automix back on two decks?? Add the function as a keyboard shortcut and your good to go ;)

i will never ever get to understand the argument for two deck automix, it is so much more practical the way it is now, stay with the version you have but all the goodies you have missed out so far, now and will in the future is your loss.
anyone that has been around long enough to have used the old version will know many times it has been stated it is highly unlikely it will ever come back.

And you will continue to lose out on other advances in the software over 1 feature that was greatly improved when moved from 2 decks to 1.
As far as ignoring the request ... it's because its an inferior way compared to the 1 deck automix. As for the suggestion ... of the automix_dualdeck -- it does not function exactly like the old way and is very minimal in ability - only works with the Sidelist and only responds to the Automix crossfade slider in the Config->Options tab... that is why it says - deprecated - next to it.
It's unfortunate that there are so many people out there that think like this ...

I agree. All automix should ever be used for is background music. What is this huge need for it to use 2 decks?

I much prefer the Automix dual deck! For someone who made the mobile disco as I do and makes the animation, the Automix dual deck is the best. Because of the Automix 5 has problems in the playlist when the songs are erased, impossible to know if the good is loaded into the Automix.
In short, if it could at least show the title of 2nd song
sorry for my english

Personally I like the dual deck. I do realize that many don't. What I don't understand is why the simply don't have a button in the config section that the single deck would be the default and that if you click or check dual deck then it would take on all those things about the dual deck that people liked that enjoyed the dual deck. Not every DJ is a club DJ or spins CD's. I take on the role of MC and DJ at my weddings and many things could help me such as "right clicking on a song and have it say play now and it just plays."
For me the lack of the dual deck and a play now function was one of the reason that I went to OTS DJ after VDJ changed the dual deck. I really like this version quite a bit and enjoy VDJ in general thus my reason for buying it in the first place. I just believe that in this area it can be made to make everyone happy.

I quite agree with you, we are not all club DJs, etc.. And I really regret that there is no option to select the single deck or double deck.
For one reason that I look at the new software PCDJ DEX which at least supports this option.

Since VDJ don't care for DJ's who want 2 DECK AUTOMIX (may be we are not professional enough for them) I am looking out for a software as good as the VDJ, but has a dual deck auto mix. Any help please.
Thanks
Thanks

What was happening with 2 decks that is not happening with 1 deck?
The only difference is the crossfader is not moving IMO.

Well than, if its so simple, why not give us what we want as an option. We are not asking too much.
