Topic: Soundcard Issues with Crackling Sound (Dual Channels)

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

My System:
Gateway NV52, Notebook
XP Pro 32 bit
AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor
3 GB RAM (4 GB, only 3 used in XP)
VDJ 6.0.2
Denon DNS-1200 (Newest Firmware updates)

I'm having issues when I run two different soundcards out of VDJ 6.0.2
Output 1: Denon 1200 stereo RCA output
Output 2: PC/notebook headphone stereo 1/8" jack output

When doing this I get intermittent crackling noise (like a shorted wire or something).
The crackling noise is NOT specific to the Denon 1200 out nor the PC headphone jack.
It has happened through either channel, unpredictably. But only one soundcard channel will have the problem.

To avoid this I'm running my PC/notebook headphone stereo 1/8" jack output as dual split mono.
It works, but I've lost stereo -so it can't be a permanent fix.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I had this same problem, and was not able to come up with a result. If you can, try turning hardware acceleration completely off in your computer settings. That is supposed to work for some people. I did it originally with an XP laptop and it worked. However, when I got a new laptop that had Vista, I was not able to change hardware acceleration because the video card denied it. I think it could be because of nVidia graphics cards. I returned that laptop and got one with intel graphics. The XP laptop had nVidia too.

Good luck, hope this works! I spent days trying to figure it out.
