Topic: Uhhh ohh. Different behavior in 6.0.5

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Greetings all,

I found a change in behavior in this newest software release. It has to do with exiting a loop with a Hot Cue.

In the previous releases when I play a song and hit any loop like x4, x2, x1, etc - It has a pretty cool sound to transition from x4 to x1 or below. with any software level below 6.0.5 I can hit any Hot Cue and the loop would be released... and I can continue with normal playback.

This new 6.0.5 does not release the loop with the Hot Cue. It does start the cue at the beginning of the cue start point. It serves no purpose to have an x1 stutter going... hit a Hot Cue and it starts it at the beginning of the stutter. You only hear a tone change and the stutter gets out of sequence. This new behavior is useless.

Atomix... In the next patch release will you please change it back? It is really nice to be transitioning down through the loop times and then hit the Hot Cue and get right back into the song. Please fix: 6.0.5 Not releasing loops with a Hot Cue.

I have to go back to 6.0.4 until the patch. I was a num num and didn't save the 6.0.4 executable. It is not in my Software Download section anymore. Will someone from Atomix please put 6.0.4 back in my download folder?

Thanks,

Jim L.

You could always change the hotcue mapping to automatically cancel the loop as a workaround :)

Thanks SBDJ. I'm not sure how to do this, but I'll look in the WIKI for a clue.

I'm guessing I will have to edit the XML file of the 'skin' I'm using.

Edit whatever you use to launch the hotcue; be it skin, shortcut or controller.

Add the command in front; for example:

loop off & hot_cue 1

You're then assured of that functionality across versions :)

Thank you sir. I appreciate the help.

I'm stumped. Where do I put this command?

I uncompressed my skin to a new directory and extracted the BMP and XML.

I edited the XML and put that command at the top of the file within the <Skin> <\Skin> constructs. Re-compressed the two files together and set config for this modified skin. No change when I try to exit a loop with Hot Cue Button 1.

I moved the command to the ##hotcues secton. No fix

I then tried changing the button action to "hotcue & loop off" and that didn't work. It just greyed out the hotcue button.

Am I close? I am not sure where to use VDJScript and it's verbs.

Thanks,

Jim
