Hey, i have the hercules steel.
at the top left of the console there is a little button that ses "Apply Ctrl. On" next to it and on the otherside there are 3 lights laid out like this :
Light 1 : Deck A
Light 2 : Select
Light 3 : Deck B
when i press the "Apply Ctrl. On" button the light changes from one to the other. when the "select" light is on, all of the effect buttons light up and 1 or two of them flash a bit.
does anyone know what this actually does???
ive read the manual and cant make sense of it.
any help would be great. thanks

Pressing APPLY CTRL simply indicate which deck the 2 CONTROL knobs are being used for.
In SELECT mode, the buttons that flash are one currently being used.
If you are in this mode and press a button , you will then be switched to either DECK A or DECK B (according to which side you made the selection) and the 2 CONTROL knobs will be available to modify the settings of the function assigned to this button ( FX parameters, sample volume, loop length, etc).

eh... this seems pretty pointless as it just selects which deck the knobs are used for as soon as you press the effect :S

You don't have to tell me, but it seems that's the way VDJ wanted to use these controls....
