Topic: AA Radius 3000's not working with VDJ

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

About a week ago I downloaded a trial version of Virtual DJ. I have been using the software with my new decks, American Audio Radius 3000's. However, I have had some problems with Virtual DJ. I am using a pair of Radius 3000\'s, however, after a while, one deck will cut out & completely stop working & I will have to revert back to using my keyboard to control Virtual DJ. Then after a period the other deck will stop, & then Virtual DJ will not load songs. I was wonering if you knew a solution to this problem, or if you think there is problem with Virtual DJ, my decks, or my computer may not be powerful enough for the running of the decks? I would much appreciate if someone could get back to me on this problem because if I could ammend it I would be highly interested in purchasing virtual DJ.

Regards,
Ross Kerwood

Hi!!
I bougth two radius 3000 and work perfectly with vitual dj. When you have this problem that you said I thing that if you push the bottom eject the virtual dj reconnect the radius to deck A and B. Try it! I have other problem with radius 3000. When I connect the two radius in midi mode only one is iluminated but I don't know what is the correcto configuration for this solution. Do you know it?
Best regards.

First you have to update to the professional version or try it with the Trial Version. I think there is actually no definition/mapper for this device but if it's MIDI i think it could be mapped in VDJ.

You use the pro ? Ok, i think you mean you use the Pro Trial version.

BTW, take a look in the WIKI - there are some very good articles that explain the first step of creating a definition for the controller.

https://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Controller_Definition.html

I think it should be enough to map just one deck to test if everything is working properly. So you don't have to do the complete thing.

You do not need to build definitions for the Radius 3000 they already exist.

However; I understand they changed some things in the new models that are shipping.

I am aware of this and working with American Audio to bring a solution to the users by the end of the week.

isn't there also a problem with ADJ VMS4? because in LE version everything works, but in pro version nothing lights up, no control...

Update to the latest Professional Release 6.1.2 - should work.

I have the latest version of VDJ Pro and my Radius 3000's won't talk to VDJ at all. When I click on the mappers tab, I check "rescan for new devices" and it doesn't find the Radius. So I uncheck the "onmly show connected devices" and I select the Radius 3000. Nothing works at all for me.
My laptop specs are:
windows 7/ 64 bit
4 gigs ram
i5 M450

Any ideas would be great, I'm at a loss

Hi Jeff
Its best if you log in under your licensed account to get the most help from our user base.

Please make sure you follow this procedure and test again.
Boot up
Put the devices in midi mode
Wait for 30 seconds for drivers to load up fully
Then open VDJ

Make sure you have the latest drivers and firmware for these loaded, or they will not work correctly with the latest VDJ Version.

Then lets see if its working.

Thanks, I have no idea where the serial number is for VDJ, and I don't really see why that should matter with people answering a question. If they don't want non-licensed users posting questions, why do they let them on here in the 1st place?
That solution above didn't work, I'm gonna see if American Audio has a solution

Well, we are here to help you, and you will get more assistance from more people if you appear as a pro registered user which you are.
I am telling you this for your own future reference. I encourage people to help non licensed users, but it is their option.
Its not that we don't want them posting questions, quite the opposite actually.

Your log in name is jeffryplandry and your serial number is in your download center under that account name.

We can continue to help you here or in support if you are still having problems.

I've had the same problem and it was down to heat and drawing too much current from the USB ports.

The first gig I did was using the laptop's internal soundcard (my laptop is high end) and VDJ stopped talking to the Radius 3000s after a while. I put a fan on the laptop and rescanned for the 3000s and it worked ok for the rest of the night.

The second time I used an external soundcard and I noticed that when the 3000s were plugged in, the volume was lower and my USB DMX interface stopped sending dmx codes. Unplugging the 3000s let everything work again.

I now use a powered USB hub and it seems to have fixed my problems :-)

I just bought the Radius 3000 last night, i have the american audio versaport 4x4 sound card, and the latest and greatest from VDJ; VDJ 7. Whenever i go to install the midi command file for VDJ found on American Audio's website it tells me i need to install the software found on virtualdj.com.. Is it because the their command file was for VDJ 6 and i can only download version 7.. Please help. This is my first DJ setup and i feel lost.
