Topic: External DirectShow Filters Support [NEEDED!]

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

The Problem with the Video Quality & Audio is
because of internal filter usage that VDJ 3.0 uses. It
appears that the [Default DirectShow Sound Filter] is bypassed
somewhat during play mode. I've done lots of hours of testing & I've
realized we need external DirectShow Support. Example why Windows
Media Player 10 Plays my Videos Perfect & Fluid. These are
H264 AVC. Yes I've Done all that everyone talks about. In
Fact I've Been a Computer Tech for 20 Years+. Before I
became a DJ. My System is running Optimal+. The Internal
Filters are Un-acceptable in my opinion VIA- the Extensions
Panel. I know about all the settings in audio; video, etc, etc.
This is deff. not the issue at stake here. I use GraphEdit always
to Test my system Thoroughly. I even synced my video refresh
to my M-Audio Clock [NOT EASY] But stops the stutter; again
works in other Mulimedia Apps but not here! The Mp3 Codec
Sounds Thin in VDJ. I Feel Better. Oh Yah Global VST Plug-In Support
would be nice. Thanks all.

Hi Cyber;

Thanks for that analyze.

For VST plugins there is a specific forum; have a look.

Hmm this might be interesting and could be a solution what seems to be a 'not getting along very well' issue with VDJ and my RME HDSP interface.. Would you care to tell me how I can do this to see if it helps..

Hello paulheu... Regarding the synced my video refresh to my M-Audio Clock.
You can download this program - ReClock it's called. The Home Page is here:
http://reclock.free.fr/
ReClock DirectShow Filter actually syncs the video refresh rate to the audio
cards internal clock. This keeps your videos in sync. Cool eh!. But the problem
with Virtual DJ is it doesn't use the [Default DirectSound Filter]; Thus ReClock
doesn't activate to replace with it's own Filter. Etc, Etc. That's why i want
VDJ 3.0 to support External Filters in Windows XP. You see i mentioned this
earlier why this is very important to me. "It provides a new reference clock
that is locked to the video card hardware clock, in order to ensure that frames
are played at the exact speed of what is expected by the video card vertical sync."
Quote from the author. Good Luck and let me know if this helps you. Pass on this
to others if you like. Sooner or later the video problems will be fixed i'm sure. But
they need to rid of the VDJ internal filter crap...! Sorry but True. GraphEdit Tests
were quite extensive in this evaluation. Cyber Out.

Just to prevent you from wasting time looking into this: of course vdj uses many specifically written internal filters.
In fact, it does not even uses a full filter graph so to speak.
We only uses directshow decoding filters in order to decode the video into readable frames, but all the rendering, scratching, spinning, etc, is something that was never meant to be done with directshow, so we had to write most of it specifically from scratch.

Thank-You i had assumed that the decoding was only using
the system installed codecs. I Checked the ROT Table also
for GraphEdit and nothing listed. Thanks but i still need external
DirectShow Support for my own DirectShow Sound Filters, etc.
This will ensure better Mp3 & audio quality where i need it most.
Thanks for your reply.
